American Express Integrated Media Executive Joins New York Brand Strategy Firm Falcon + Wolf
Veteran of Fast Company, Condé Nast and Time Inc., Stacey Staaterman Is Known for Brand Strategy Expertise in Media, Luxury, Travel, Tourism, Automotive and Financial Services
For Immediate Release
(New York, November 5, 2015) Stacey Staaterman, who led Corporate Integrated Marketing & Sales for six years in American Express’ media unit in New York has joined the New York brand consulting firm, Falcon & Wolf as a Partner to lead marketing strategy and leadership coaching practices. Stacey is a strategist with in-depth expertise in media and lifestyle industries (including: luxury, epicurean, travel, tourism, financial services, and automotive) as well as a certified professional coach. She is known for her ability to identify innovative business opportunities and facilitate holistic performance solutions – to create alignment, drive initiatives and deliver results.
“While she is known as a pioneer in cross-platform integrated strategies supporting brands like Infiniti Automotive, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, CNN Networks and American Express, one of Stacey’s greatest talents is helping organizations understand how to manage strategy from end to end. This is a crucial skill because as traditional marketing, PR, and advertising silos have begun to disappear, true collaboration between teams and partners can be elusive,” says Falcon & Wolf CEO Amy Wolfcale. “Stacey is not only an expert at designing strategies that drive awareness and revenue—but she also designs the workflow and team constructs that enable brands to take a great strategy and run with it.”
“Technology, mobile and social networking have completely altered how brands reach and engage their communities,” says Staaterman. “It’s critical to have a solid, integrated strategy anchored in smart content. But it’s equally important to have a team dynamic and process that aligns employees in the mission. The media environment is so noisy and complex that it takes extremely creative programs to bring fans into the brand community and keep them engaged. Similarly, organizations need smart leadership strategies in order to engage the wide range of contributors charged with driving results. Too many great strategies die on the desks of the employees. We are focused on consumer and employee engagement.”
Staaterman held several leadership roles with the American Express Media unit, where she worked for more than a decade. She led cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of “big idea” marketing campaigns leveraging integrated editorial content, data targeted media, events, American Express card and travel assets, digital and mobile media, subscription offers, and direct mail. Stacey directed global, multi-brand advertising sales strategy yielding $43 mm in magazine and digital sales annually from key clients including: Celebrity Cruises, Renaissance Hotels, Westin Hotels, Hawaii VCB, Geico, Morgan Stanley and others. She also led the custom media group that produced content marketing platforms for luxury and travel marketers. She also led American Express' custom media group that produced content marketing platforms for luxury and travel marketers.
Staaterman has also held various marketing, sales and development positions at Condé Nast, Meredith Corporation, Time Inc., Fast Company, Scholastic and Travel + Leisure. She is also a career strategies coach, and part-time public speaking trainer with Own The Room (A division of Blue Planet Training). In these capacities, she works with executives and high-potentials from organizations including: Egon Zehnder, Mercer Healthcare, Random House, Post Foods, Time Inc., Blackstone, Wall Street Journal, Marsh & McLennan, MIT Media Lab, and Siemens.
Staaterman received her B.S. in Advertising from Syracuse University (S.I. Newhouse School of Communications). She recently completed a Digital mini-MBA program from Rutgers University and is a Certified Professional Coach credentialed through iPEC (Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching) as well as a Master Practitioner of the E.L.I. (Energy Leadership Index) assessment.
An avid golfer, volunteer, cook, ice skater and an aspiring runner, Staaterman lives in New Jersey with her family.
